Both schools have fired their coaches. WKU is 0-9 in their first year of FBS. The move at Memphis might have a bigger impact. The school is expected to hire a higher profile coach in their attempt to move to a BCS conference. Both Tommy Tubberville and Terry Bowden have been rumored options.

I can see Tubberville going to Louisville.
It would be interesting to see if Memphis would go after and keep a high profile football coach since they lost a very good basketball coach to a basketball University.
There is no BCS conference that Memphis could go to. Once you go through process of elimination, SEC, Big 12, Big 10, ACC, Big East, and PAC 10, that only leaves a choice of the non BCS Mountain West Conference. I don't see the Mountain West expanding that far east.
