Developer Majestic Realty Co. has said the San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers are on its list of seven teams it will approach about a move to the Los Angeles area. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed a bill allowing the construction of a 75,000-seat stadium that developers hope will lure an NFL team to the Los Angeles area.

This could serve as a Meadowlands-type of stadium. They could get two teams if this actually gets built. It would probably be the Chargers, if they are not already gone, and then it opens up to many different teams, including the Vikings, Jaguars, perhaps the Rams, Bills, and others. The 49ers are not leaving San Francisco. That is just leverage. The Raiders might leave, though. Every area that has two teams should only have one stadium, however. This is California politics at its finest, or worst, depending on how you view it.

I'm still trying to figure out how anyone in their right mind would want to move an NFL team to California since the state has out of control taxes, massive, record setting debt, and people fleeing the state to leave the high taxes and over grown Government. I don't see a financial gain for an NFL moving to L.A.
